Mbira Technologies runs and builds e-commerce websites focused on musical gear. I help maintain and and build upon our our platform that our clients, including zZounds, use for their online stores. I work on bug fixes, researching new technologies and methodologies, shipping delivery estimates, API services, and many more features.

Highland Ventures LTD owns/partners with several companies, such as Family Video, Marco's Pizza, StayFit24, Total Wireless, and several others. My job was to make other people's jobs easier through coding. I made scripts that populated financial reports, a real-time phone monitor for the pizza stores, a site to keep track off all the companies' bills, the POS system for StayFit24, and much more.

The Joint Institute for Food Safety and Applied Nutrition (JIFSAN) is a partnership between the FDA and The University of Maryland. JIFSAN's goal is to make food as safe as possible through chemical and statistical analysis. While at JIFSAN, I worked on projects help people understand what JIFSAN is about. I made a blog site where JIFSAN's researchers could explain what they were doing and why it's important and readers could comment and ask questions. I made a site for people to sign up for classes that were taught at JIFSAN and students could select add-ons if they wanted, like a rental laptop. I also worked on tools for different food agencies. For example, I made a tool that would parse ingredient labels, and create a database for the USDA.
